As many of you have already heard, Things Made Wonderful was awarded runner up in a national contest for Country Business Retailer of the year. 

Bob and I are very honored by this award and would like to thank our family and wonderful staff for helping us achieve this success.  Most of all, we would like to thank you, our customers, for supporting us.  It really is all about you.  We strive to be the best at whatever we do and having great customers like you, makes it very worth while.THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! As odd as it may sound, we would like to thank our local competitors as well.  I believe it really keeps us on our toes.  Competition is good for the customer and good for us as business owners too. We are waiting for our official press release to arrive, along with some photos of Bob and I at the award ceremony.  The magazine also did a really nice article and photo shoot of the store.  It will be out in the March issue.  We will post it once it comes out. The first place winners were Pam & Mack of the Rusty Bucket in Apex, N.C.  We got to meet them and last year’s winners at the award ceremony.  Congratulations go out to them.  I would love to be able to go see their store some day; it looks like a great country store.

Here are a few comments I received via email from our customers: Deb,I have to pass along that last night after I left the store I had a hair appt. and while I was there I was spreading the news about your latest award and it came as no surprise to anyone. You have been commended for how each customer is treated like a member of the family; how you remember their names etc. and that each member of the staff is equally as sweet.
I just had to take a minute to let you know you are loved by many.
